Tobacco Free Futures has taken appropriate measures to keep secure all personal information given by users of this site. This personal information will only ever be used for communicating with you about tobacco related issues and we will not sell your information to any third parties.

/ Personal information

  • We collect personal information when you register with us.
  • When you register we ask for your name, address, postcode and email address. Once you register you are not anonymous to us.
  • We may use this information to contact you to update you about Tobacco Free Futures’s latest initiatives. We will only do this with your consent and you may opt out at any time by logging into your account and changing your settings or emailing info@tobaccofreefutures.org with the subject title Opt out.
  • In addition to the above we ask for your date of birth which is required to validate your age – you must be over 13 to register your details with us. We may also use this to provide anonymous statistical reports for example allowing us to see which age groups are most interested in our service.
  • Your postcode / school or youth group names is to provide us with an understanding of which area from the region you are from and how you are engaging with the competition, so that we may use it for statistical analysis.
  • Legal guardian contact details are only requested if you enter our competition(s) and they are only used to confirm your age and permissions.
  • We use this information for the following general purposes: to customise the content of our website, conduct research and provide anonymous statistical reports.

  • Data is stored within a password protected database and hosted within secure Data Centre facilities, which is manned security 24×7 in addition to CCTV monitoring (as well as restricted area access through access cards and keycode combinations). 
  • In terms of the data security, the web server platform has limited access to the outside world. It is protected by a separate managed firewall platform; and is monitored 24×7.  All servers are updated with the latest service packs, encryption software and security updates. Data access is restricted on a username and password combination
  • Editing and deleting your account information
  • In order to maintain the accuracy of our database, you can check, update or remove your personal details by logging into your account and changing your settings or emailing info@tobaccofreefutures.org  with the subject title Opt out. We do no store any information longer than is necessary.
